I shot this wedding on September 26th and had my buddy Glen from Fusion come out as my second shooter. Ceremony was held at the RBG and reception at the Burlington Convention Centre. Once again, I'm so blessed to have had such a great couple to shoot for. I love you guys. Thanks for having me share and document your special day.
So after we shot a while in the rain, we decided to go to Burlington near the water. As we get there it's still raining and only about 12 degrees celcius. What happens next with the weather is truly a gift from God. Who would ever expect such extraordinary conditions all to happen within our shooting time frame. During the shoot, the rain eventually stops and out comes the sun, creating such beautiful light for us to shoot in. Dramatic skies filled with many different colours and a rainbow we could see from end to end. The water was chilly and as the sun set, we could see our breath from the cold air. Near the end of the shoot, a full moon appears out of nowhere to give us that perfect finish. Wow. Truly an incredible shoot and with such an amazing couple.
Well what a beautiful Trash the Dress shoot with Kristina and Oeun yesterday. We had a blast shooting their wedding a few weeks ago but when they told me a few months before their wedding that they wanted to do a TTD shoot instead of an engagement shoot, I was pumped. As we start the shoot, the clouds roll in and it starts to rain with hail and the winds pick up. We thought we'd wait until it calmed a little but since we had a few hours of daylight left we decided to start, rain or shine. This first series of photos were shot as it was raining. After all, it is a TTD shoot.
Congratulations to such an incredible couple who really know how to throw a party. What a spectacular wedding! Credit to Anne Anderson for planning and coordinating such an amazing event.
So I get home just around midnight, and I notice the moon light brighter than ever. It's a full moon and not a cloud in the sky. I couldn't let this opportunity go by. So here I am in my back yard, setup with my tripod and cam, snapping away, when I see the neighbors light come on. I hope they don't think I was photographing them. lol
Once I got back from Italy, I was commissioned to photograph another amazing creation by the extremely talented Vince Commisso at Hair Xtacy, award winning salon in Burlington, ON. Good luck with the competition this year!
I just got back from a fabulous trip to Italy and I have to say, I am missing everything about it already. The last time I visited was 23 years ago and I'm sure not going to wait this long to visit again. My last two days there were spent in Rome and I had the chance to take some photographs even though it rained both days. Here are only a few for now. These photos were taken around 2am Rome time when there was hardly anyone on the streets. Such an amazing place. wow!

Last week I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Becker who is an amazing wedding photographer from Orange County, California who specializes in capturing relaxed portraits, amazing details and real moments for some of the coolest brides and grooms on the planet. I attended his crash course on kicking ass here in Burlington, thanks to Glen at Fusion Photographic for arranging the whole thing.
Hey Everyone. Wow, I can't believe it was December since my last blog. Here we are in April already. Hopefully I'll be posting more photos from some awesome shoots these last few months and any new ones in the coming weeks. Here's some engagement photos of an incredible couple, Dragana and Rocco. What a blast we had. Normally I prefer shooting outdoors but it was so freakin cold outside that we had to shoot in the studio. So looking forward to shooting their wedding on May 2.
Here are a few recent shots of Kate Hoekstra for her modeling portfolio. I had the pleasure of working with Kate (Model) and Marek Matwiejczuk, a very talented creative director, wardrobe stylist, makeup and hair stylist from Toronto. And of course, thanks to Tom Gdalski for assisting in the shoot.
Hello everyone, so sorry it has been such a long absence, but things have been incredibly busy around here. Wedding season is finally winding down. I'll be posting some images from this year soon.
We're already heading in the the Christmas season. I'm going to be running some Christmas specials for in studio portraits. Make sure to check back soon.
